First Sentences
One of my favorite free writes to do is practice writing first sentences. They’re extremely important for the starting of books, but also for starting chapters. Here’s some I did 🙂
There wasn’t a lot I couldn’t tolerate, but being stabbed was definitely one of them.
The face of a monster loomed just above her and all she could do was grab her doll.
Katara didn’t think she would make it in time as gun shots slammed the ground around her, but she prayed to whoever would listen that she would.
