Never Facts
So Never Home shall be in a sci-fi world I have created. I was doing some world building not long ago, and, though it isn’t finished, I thought I’d post it here, too. (more facts to come)
Sides
Exuro: Those who believe in using their powers to rule with peace. They fuel their abilities with lighter emotions like serenity and peace. Being even in emotion, they say, is the key to surviving and ruling over their gifts. They see the Thrax as evil brutes and wish to see them suppressed or destroyed so the galaxy can be at peace.
Opes is their military branch.
Thrax: Those who wish to rule, period. They are encouraged to fuel their powers with strong emotions, such as fury and sorrow. They believe if you do not let your powers flourish in your emotions, you will never get stronger. They see the Exuro as weak and helpless. They believe the Exuro will not strengthen the galaxy and will never be able to protect it.
‘Sanguis’ is their military branch.
Weapons
Thatchet: The sword which can expand from the hilt. The safety is usually on, thus deactivating the super-heated metal and rendering it a normal sword. With the safety off, the blade glows a violent red and is able to burn through most items. Cannot deflect blaster attacks, but can melt them. Color of blade does not change. Metal can be broken but is still useable unless the hilt is destroyed.
Balus: Common named for ranged weapons. Each balus has a specific number to indicate make and type.
Vix
Helix: What everyone calls the Thrax and Exuro’s gift. Their powers can vary, but everyone in the universe has at least a small amount of the Helix. Those who tap into it at a greater force than 4 are enlisted into one of the sides to be taught to control it well, for those who do not understand the Helix can be driven mad and use their powers to wreak havoc.
IH: Invisible Hand. All in the galaxy have a small amount of Vix, and thus this power is what they are able to control. In the hands of a civilian, they are able to lift a single, small object (like a cup, or bowl of food) and place it somewhere else. Cannot use it for a long period of time without complete exhaustion. In the hands of a Thrax or Exuro, this ability can be used to lift people off the ground, throw people, throw objects, bend objects, etc., as long as their connection with the Vix is strong.
BL: Blue lightning. Those touched by the Vix can sometimes have this. Cannot harm other blues with this lightning.
RL: Red lightning. See above.
Healing: Self-explanatory. Most gifted with this remain in the medical tents.
Charge: To charge is to funnel your gift with Vix into your body to enable you to have a much stronger muscle mass. This can allow people to jump high, punch through things, etc. This does not strengthen bones and must be used with caution. Though the muscle now can cushion the bones, punching through a wall will break your hand. And you will feel it.
Telepathy: Explanatory. Can be used to communicate with others. Only other Vix-touched can answer back.
Atmo: Control of the weather. Can only last until the user falls unconscious or releases the weather. As soon as this happens, any created weather will dissipate immediately. Extremely exhausting.
Wall: To create a wall is to make an invisible wall of protection. Most people can use it only in one small area, such as protecting a part of the body from a thatchet. There have been rumors of those who can cloak their entire body in it, however. In all cases, this only lasts five minutes. Does not exhaust the user as much as Atmo does.
Sight: Able to glimpse down the hall with Vix. Others cannot sense this unless they have the power of Sight as well. Does not see through walls.
Worlds and Species
HABITABLE:
Sypher: Covered in mountains and water. Three continents. Two large sides with one large island between them. Water is black and dangerous to drink due to contamination. Either hot or snowing. No in between. Class 6.
Natives: Syvers. Six legs, two arms. Two toes on each foot, six fingers on each hand. A tail to balance them out. Three feet tall. Scales instead of skin. Like to crawl onto things and people larger than them. Highly intelligent and resourceful. Created the holo-pad, a hologram displayed between one or two metal pieces. Used for important documents and communication. Also used on equipment as controls and diagnosis. Used basically everywhere.
Language: Sve is the native tongue, comprised of clicks and coos. Due to Sypher being a high-traffic planet, however, Os has become the primary language.
Specialty: Technological advancements. Mountains are rich with iron ore. Used to create the holo-pads, robotics, machinery, and other tech items of interest.
Wild Animals:
Daoth: Covered in fissures and grass. Land bridges allow passage to every part of the planet. Large lakes and frequently raining. Crowded with Kodar and Human colonies. Class 3. Also, Jade’s home planet.
Natives: Kodar.Highly aggressive.
Language: Os, though Kodar have a harsh accent that cannot pronounce ‘t’s or ‘s’s.
Specialty: Agriculture. Despite Kodar’s hostility, they are surprisingly good at forge work and farming.
Wild Animals:
Sobek: Completely covered with water. Small floating islands spread across the continent. Dragon-like creatures are native here (or maybe bat-like creatures?). Humid.
Facts about Never’s Universe:
Thirteen planets as follows:
Sypher (Neutral)
Planet Description:
The planet of Sypher expanded as one of the largest planets of the entire galaxy. There were three continents in total: Balag, the strongest and most Northern of them all; Kytan, the Eastern body of land and significantly weaker than the rest; and lastly, Clayn, the Southern land. Clayn, being the smallest, was most affect by the toxic water that envolped the planet. Though the waters were once drinkable, due to the Syvers’ ambitious technological advances, the waters had grown to be an inky green, thick to touch and capable of eating through flesh.
Were there was land, however, it was covered in tall mountains filled with iron and a metal only found on Sypher, Xernum.
Native Description:
Syvers were small creatures, highly intelligent despite their insectoid appearance. They walked on four legs, all equipped with three opposable fingers, and two arms with five. Their face was croweded with tiny eyes, black as their sky, and their bodies were covered in flesh-colored scales. Though they were most known for their creations, they became known by their desire to crawl on things—and people—larger than them.
Language Description:
Sye is their native tongue, comprised of clicks. Due to it being a high-traffic planet, however, Os became the primary language (something much like English).
